A Project Sabeel Story of Hope and Sisterhood
In 2022, our founder began a heartfelt mission to uplift Muslimah sisters in Papua New Guinea, where the Muslim community is small and access to modest wear is limited. With generous support from friends and partners across Singapore, we gathered thousands of brand new hijabs, prayer robes and modest outfits. Each piece carried more than fabric. It was a gesture of dignity, a message of love and a reminder that they are seen, valued and never alone.

Papua New Guinea Hijab & Prayer Garment Initiative
Muslim women in Papua New Guinea live in a society where obtaining suitable hijabs or prayer garments is a daily struggle. Shops rarely stock them, travel is costly and online options are limited. Your generous gifts ease that burden, helping every sister draw closer to embrace her faith with dignity, confidence and joy.
What Your Giving Made Possible
Through your unwavering support, we delivered more than 10,000 brand new hijabs, along with hundreds of prayer robes, baju kurungs and abayas from Singapore to Papua New Guinea. Parcels first arrived in Port Moresby, then were hand carried by local sisters to Highlands villages and coastal towns where modest wear is scarce. In just three days of our second collection drive, an entire warehouse filled with your donations. It was enough to brighten Eid, welcome new Muslimahs to their first prayers and remind every sister that the Ummah stands with her.
